Santa Monica, CA -- (May 16, 2012) You never know what youll uncover on the beaches of Santa Monica with the dynamic teams from BEEF Films and Chop House Post in this case, dinosaur bones! Agency Venture Communications called on the talented BEEF Films for creative production and Chop House Post for critical editing and post-production to create a mock news story about a mysterious set of bones found on the beach.
This tag-team production called for just the right amount of humor and creative direction that BEEF Films and Chop House Post completed flawlessly. To view the new spot, which has gone viral, check out the companies web sites at: www.beeffilms.com and www.chophousepost.com
"This was a whirlwind day of setups, multiple shoots and tight deadlines, says Chief Creative Officer Paul Hains of Venture Communications. I was hugely impressed with BEEF Films and Chop House Post for their incredible professionalism, patience and ability to over deliver. I definitely look forward to working with them again. They are an amazing team."
According to Chop House Post Creative Director Stephen Hens, the day of the shoot started in a unique way: I was driving down Colorado Avenue in Santa Monica on my way to the office on the morning of the shoot and I looked down Colorado to the beach, he details. Through a break in the clouds, I saw a helicopter circling the Santa Monica Pier. When I say a helicopter I mean to say our helicopter. That is how my day started at 8 a.m. By noon, we had posted our first pass for the creative team at Venture Communications of this viral campaign.
Hens notes that it was in the lightning fast fingers of Chop House Editor Joey Dello Russo that they had a 60-second version of the viral roughed in by the end of the day. An amazing team effort from the top down, with Executive Producer Sean DeVeaux working closely with the production team at BEEF Films, ACD John Halliday, and Producer Hans Dys to nail the creative vision, as well as organize footage being brought from the shoot at the beach throughout the day to the Chop House Post studio to be ingested and transcoded for edit.
Its days like this that really get me charged! concludes Hens. Great idea. Exceptional people. With everyone working together at a fevered pitch to make a vision come together. Well played everyone!
